The Mentor of a Genius…

Marcel Grossmann – “I have worked with Einstein, a close colleague and friend I have helped him see things in a different light, once he understood he himself has said ‘one cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking, used to create it’. I have discovered a formula that questions our very understanding of the space and time around us, everywhere I look I can see what others cant. When looking at a beautiful tree others see it for its outer appearance, a beautiful tree, all I can see is how time and space collide at a particular point and the resulting burst of energy creates what we see as a tree, in other words what I see is a manifestation or the result of space and time colliding creating bursts of energy all around us. Once completing my work I now know how one may command space and time at his own will, I have discovered something beyond one’s imagine, but it is a double edged sword if my work should be in the wrong hands, for instance the hands of those who desire power, this could be a devastating weapon used to enslave the masses or the birth of globalisation where one government rules all nations through its ability to utilise space and time to their advantage. How, one may command space and time I will not say as to keep this secret safe. I have allowed Albert Einstein to take parts of my work and label it as his own this will be known as the theory of relativity, this small formula fuels the formula from which it originated, it shall be known as the Grossmann formula. In the public’s eye Einstein would have discovered the theory of relativity it will draw ample attention from the scientific community and possibly government, this is why I shall keep the key to my work safe in the hands of another, a dear friend of mine who is as close to me as Einstein, whose name I will not mention so as to keep the key to my work safe. Outside the three of us no one shall ever see the Grossmann formula. Sadly, I have two unfortunate regrets the first is the burden I am placing upon the shoulders of my colleague and dear friend unfortunately it is a burden I am placing upon his descendants as well. His offspring will be instructed to keep the key safe also as is his promise to me. My second regret is the threat that may be brought to their very lives for the one key that guards the secret to the greatest awe inspiring discovery man has ever known and the threat it could unleash. Please read carefully, the very words I am writing have only been understood by those who know how to read them…my question to you, do you know how to read them? The Grossmann Formula.”

The gist

The greatest scientific minds of our time congregate at the fourteenth Grossman meeting. Suddenly interupted by the CIA, doctor Bradley Shaw and professor Graham Dolton are summoned to assist agents James Saunders and Sophia Winters in finding a phantom formula that officially does not exist, the Grossmann formula. However, the CIA are not alone in trying to possess Grossmanns scientific discovery. Iranian, Syrian and North Korean intelligence are also aware of its existance.
As tensions rise between communism and the free world, nations engaged in international espionage secretly at war with one another in a race to find the one formula that will virtually guarrantee their survival should a third world war erupt. In discovering the truth about Albert Einstein and his mentor Marcel Grossmann, Bradley Shaw and Graham Doltons’ lives are in great danger as they uncover a great secret that will change the very science of global warfare.

Camaraderie

Facing much difficulty Albert Einstein had no luck in formulating the theory of relativity, it wasn’t until his encounter with Marcel Grossman, his school mate (and later in life) his mentor, that he was able to put together the theory of relativity e=mc2. Back in school Marcel Grossmann use to share his notes with Einstein, because he would skip class so often. As adults, Einstein had trouble getting into university and later had even more trouble trying to find a job. Hearing about Albert Einstein’s difficulties Grossmann wrote to Einstein informing him that through his contacts he could help find him a job at the patent office. Einstein wrote back to Grossmann expressing his absolute gratitude. Grossmann had such an influential role to play in the becoming of the Albert Einstein that we all know now. However Marcel Grossmann was always mysteriously lurking in the background while Einstein hogged the spot light regarding “his” claim to fame the theory of relativity. It’s interesting though, that Marcel Grossmann meetings are held now a days to discuss new breakthroughs leading the way forward in the fields of physics and mathematics.

Did Einstein Discover E=MC2?

There are many early 20thcentury physicists who say NO! Many believed Einstein plagiarised the theory of special relativity off of other physicists in the early 20th century.  Many physicists today believe that the theory of special relativity is in fact a piece of the puzzle, and  that there is more to the theory of special relativity than just e=mc2. One would then pose the question where did e=mc2 come from? Was it derived from another formula or was it an incomplete hypothesis? One thing is certain there will always be the cloud of mystery looming over Einstein and the origin of theory of relativity.

The Grossmann Formula Facts

Marcel Grossmann meetings were founded in 1975 with the aim of reviewing developments in gravitation and general relativity with major emphasis on mathematical foundations and physical predictions.

Physicists are convinced that there is more to the theory of relativity than meets the eye and thus E=MC2 is a small piece of the puzzle.

Einstein could not have formulated the theory of relativity without his mentor Marcel Grossmann.

Kramgasse 49 was Albert Einstein’s actual address while living in Bern, above a small restaurant/cafe.

The only scientist to survive the Chernobyl disaster witnessed one meter thick concrete walls bend like rubber, moments after the nuclear meltdown, as stated by him in an interview. To this day he still cannot come in contact with metal or fuel due to the radiation levels in his body.

Fast-Paced & Suspenseful

If you enjoy novels like Dan Browns Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, Deception Point etc. You will really sink your teeth into The Grossmann Formula; it’s written in the same suspenseful tone and is a fast-paced novel, with a very clever plot.

The story follows a professor of physics, Graham Dolton and a doctor in mathematics, Bradley Shaw who are summoned by CIA. As the story unfolds the main characters realise they’ve gone too far down the rabbit hole to just turn back. While working with CIA, Iranian intelligence engages in international espionage, hunting down both the professor and the doctor in hopes of finding the Grossmann formula.  Anticipating a threat to the lives of his family, Bradley instructs his daughter and ex-wife to leave home and move somewhere safe.

The deeper they dig the more questions they find, inevitably stumbling across a truth buried deep in the cave of history’s deceit, from which there is no turning back!

About the author

Seven years of studying at various universities i.e. Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and University of Western Sydney (UWS) in the field of science. It wasn’t until I started work in my particular field that I developed a real desire for story telling/writing. When I first wrote the draft in 2007 (which I never finished), I was so excited I realised from that day forward I had to write a novel. From 2007 I started my research for the Grossmann formula, it wasn’t until 2013 I started putting it down on paper. With a back ground in physics, mathematics and chemistry, I took something, which to most people is lame and turned into something filled with intrigue, suspense, excitement and adventure. When writing the novel, I first watch it play like a movie in my head, before I started putting it down on paper. That way I know it will be visualised in the minds of my readers, watching the same movie playing in their minds.  When writing a novel, my ultimate goal is to continually engage the reader to the point where they are unable to put the book down, because they need to know what happens next.
I’m sure you will have as much enjoyment reading it as I had writing it.
